Swine flue vaccine debacle just another symptom of a corrupt health care system

If you have followed the swine flu vaccine screw-up, you know that we are already a healthcare system that rationed.  We are paying more than any nation for health care on a per capita level yet our swine flu vaccine is not getting her any faster than it is getting to Sweden.

It is tempting to blame government for it.  But the private doctors' behavior is just as terrible:  many are too lazy to get the vaccine, complaining about paper work etc.  And if it would be possible to pay more for the vaccine would it not be less reliable and have lots of phoney claims associated with it?

Then we have the CDC who scares everybody about it, proclaims a pandemic, tells the states to no longer collect data and then finds out there is no pandemic!  And now no data!

Guess who is the eeny-meeny doctor?

The dermatologist.  They have two creams to choose from, anti-fungal and cortisone neither of which work much of the time.  The smartest medical students compete about this slot in our health care system

Should Government be in health care?

The argument AGAINST government in health care is that spending other people's money is easy to do but hard to control.  Silly mistakes will cost tax payers an arm and a leg and nobody can be held acocuntable.

The argument FOR government in health care is that the current state of health care is so screwed up any change is better than no change.

It seems to me that the argument AGAINST is better.  Anybody who states that any change is better than no change ought take some time to work out a small change that has a reasonable likelihood of improving the system.
